Senior Java Engineer

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Senior Java Engineer to fill an open position with one of our clients in the financial services industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-scale, cloud-native applications leveraging modern Java technologies, Google Cloud Platform, and event-driven architectures. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and building highly scalable microservices, APIs, and integration solutions while helping drive cloud transformation initiatives.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes.Build and support cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform, leveraging services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Secret Manager.Develop and enhance event-driven integrations utilizing Apache Kafka, Confluent Cloud, and asynchronous messaging patterns.Partner with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, secure, and observable enterprise applications while driving CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code best practices.The Ideal Candidate7+ years of software development experience building enterprise applications, APIs, and distributed systems.5+ years of hands-on Java development experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Maven, and Gradle.Proven experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Strong expertise with Kubernetes, GKE, Docker, and microservices architecture design.Experience developing event-driven systems using Apache Kafka, Confluent Cloud, or similar streaming platforms.Experience working with MongoDB Atlas, NoSQL databases, and enterprise data integration patterns.Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform or Infrastructure as Code, Agile delivery methodologies, and DevOps practices.
