The role includes direct client interaction, drafting of legal documents, research, and general advisory responsibilities. While the firm is nationally recognized in public finance, this position will focus primarily on governmental counsel and transactional work rather than bond related matters. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal counsel to governmental clients on governance, compliance, procurement, and operational mattersDraft ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and intergovernmental agreementsConduct legal research on state statutes, regulations, and administrative issuesSupport transactional matters involving public infrastructure and public sector initiativesMaintain billable time in accordance with firm policiesParticipate in meetings with clients, elected bodies, administrators, and project stakeholders QualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolActive member of the South Carolina Bar 1–4 years of experience in governmental, administrative, regulatory, transactional, or related practice areasExceptional writing, analytical, and communication skillsProfessionalism, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple assignments
