Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Behavioral Health position requiring at least 2 years of psych experience and 1 year of M/S experience within the last 5 years, with the ability to float across multiple facilities.Job Details• Behavioral Health unit in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting,• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients,• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:12 with support from behavioral health technicians (BHTs),• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:30),• One weekend shift per week required (Friday does not count as a weekend day),• No on-call requirements,• Floating required PRN across 3 facilities within a 24-mile radius (Mesa, Roosevelt, and Maryvale locations),• Must be willing to float down to BHT role PRN,Job Requirements• Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,• Current BLS certification required,• Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience required,• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical (M/S) experience within the last 5 years required (must be from a dedicated M/S or psych M/S unit - float experience does not qualify),• Proficiency in tube feedings, NG tube insertion and maintenance, Foley catheter insertion and maintenance, IV insertion and maintenance, and voluntary/involuntary commitment processes,• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible,Additional Information• Must be willing to perform charge nurse duties across all assigned areas, including med-psych,• CPI certification is preferred but can be obtained on-site,• Orientation is 2 weeks long, held on day shift only, beginning on Tuesdays,• Blackout RTO dates: 5/22-5/25, 7/3-7/6, and 9/4-9/7,• First-time travelers from a like facility are welcome to apply,
