This therapist performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory therapy with minimum supervision. Position Details/Preferred Qualifications1+ years of recent experience is strongly preferred. Previous work in a hospital is preferred. 1 year of Pulmonary Function experience is highly recommended. The primary focus of this role is to help generate revenue by helping to complete PFTs and schedule subjects. The main responsibilities of the position include scheduling subjects, performing, per protocol, procedures such as pre/post bronch, DLCO, 6mwt (depending on what protocol the RRT will be working on at the moment of PFT testing), keeping up on research training specific to each protocol assigned, collaborating with coordinators to ensure the PFT aligns with the subjects visits, sending results and ensuring it gets signed by doctors, keeping track of all research PFT and updating logs, assisting with creating work orders, per protocol, for any new investigators that want to use the research lab, reporting on completed tasks, and then other duties assigned.
