Job DescriptionNon‑supervisory legal assistant and administrative position, or a paralegal track with three progressive levels. Any advancement will be based on performance and experience. Position may be focused on one area but is expected to support, as needed, the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, corporate and regulatory counsel, legal staff, and other staff and skill level.ResponsibilitiesAct as an integral resource for attorneys and staff on activities directed by the General Counsel and Deputy General CounselsDemonstrated integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and legal privilegesImpeccable attention to detail, document comparison, and proofreading skillsProcess and track outside counsel and consultant billing consistent with billing guidelinesOrganize, obtain, and input information for departmental budgets, forecasts, and variancesProcess contract review and execution workflows including electronic routingConduct legal research using legal tools such as Westlaw and present findings to attorneys in written memorandaMaintain internal departmental and corporate document filesAs directed, coordinate and communicate with staff throughout the company, external counsel, governmental agencies, and business partnersManage multiple priorities independently or as part of a team in dynamic situationsPerform other administrative and legal support duties as assignedAdditional Functions And ResponsibilitiesAssist with preparation, review, and assemblage of corporate governance records such as policies, meeting minutes, articles and bylaws, and resolutionsAssist with preparation for corporate and business meetings including minutes, agendas, resolutions, and presentationsAssist with documentation for entity formation, dissolution, mergers, acquisitions, sales, and transactionsAssist with real estate title review and document preparation for asset acquisitions and salesAssist with regulatory filings, including SEC and State agenciesAssist with utility regulatory filings, including FERC (using eTariff) and State public utility commissions, compliance organizations, electric resource regional transmission organizations, and associated tariffs, rate schedules, and service agreementsTrack status of regulatory filings and managing case deadlines and files.Assist with due diligence efforts including creation and organization of data roomsAssist with, update, and process litigation holds and discovery materials including data shares with other parties and outside counselMonitor developments and prepare reports on issues impacting the electric utility industry including FERC and state regulatory proceedingsSupport attorneys in stakeholder processes, contested proceedings, administrative settlements, litigation, and appeals in state and federal forumsManage discovery requests and responses in FERC and state regulatory proceedings, and civil litigationReview tariff materials, rate schedules, service agreements, and various other documents to assist attorneys and corporate staff to resolve legal or drafting issues in regulations, orders, standards, and other requirementsUnderstand or gain understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and managementHold Colorado notary certification (or be able to obtain within six months)Willingness to
