Material Program Manager
Overview
As a Material Program Manager at RTX, you drive the material strategy and plans across Supply Chain and program IPTs to ensure competitiveness and performance from front end to contract closure. You partner with cross-functional teams to manage supplier risk, performance, and international issues, while leading Make/Buy decisions and preparing material program plans. This role offers visibility into program performance reviews and the opportunity to shape supply chain strategy for missions-critical work. You will work in a security-conscious environment focused on delivering reliable aerospace solutions.

ResponsibilitiesProvide supply chain support for Gates activities and ensure IPDP complianceOwn supplier management processes including risk, performance, and international issuesLead assigned program supply chain activities and advise leadership on material strategiesPrepare and present Program Performance Reviews on a regular cadenceDevelop and support Supply Chain proposal activities to support PTW targetsAct as the Control Account Manager (CAM)Identify and secure supply chain resources to support capture plansDevelop and execute material program plans (MPP)Establish Material Sales Forecasts for assigned programsExecute make/buy/where processCoordinate with production control, operations, procurement, and supplier engineering on requisitions, orders, and deliveriesAim to obtain MPM certification within 1 yearProvide monthly forecasting and ETC/VAC to AOPIdentify and mitigate program risks and support weekly supplier meetingsDomestic travel up to 20%
Key requirementsMinimum 3 years in a program/project management, finance, or supplier management roleTypically a university degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years of experienceAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredExperience preferred in automated MRP systems, EVMS, and FAR/DFAR regulationsleadershipcommunicationcross-functional collaborationMRP systemsEVMS (Earned Value Management Systems)FAR/DFAR regulations
