Hourly Pay Range:$33.16 - $49.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem Level I - Shifts varyLocation: Edward HospitalPer Diem Level I - Must be able to work 48 hours every 6 weeks. 24 of those hours must be on weekend time.Hours: Mostly Evenings 3:00pm -11:30pm and may be some Days 7:00am-7:30pmTravel: May require coverage at Plainfield Emergency Center What you will need: Education:Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) License/Certifications:Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible statusState of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure within six months of employmentCurrent CPR certification issued by the American Heart AssociationACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within 24 months of employmentNRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) within 24 months of employmentPALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 24 months of employment What you will do: Under minimal supervision, provides routine and complex respiratory therapy treatment to patients and performs a variety of routine pulmonary function tests according to established procedures in order to provide data used in diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease/ailments. In doing so, interprets physicians' order, obtains pertinent patient information, arranges and sets up necessary supplies and equipment, and monitors equipment regularly for proper functioning and records data obtained during therapy in patient charts.
