Sr Back End Engineer
As an engineer with Pidwin you will be responsible for the creation of revenue generating features that excite and entertain our users. You will be responsible for creating in-house games, improving on the functionality of prior games, building sleek front-end components, as well as the implementation of scalable and efficient backend logic. An interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies is a plus. In addition to our gaming products we also host and manage our own crypto processing services. Experience in these industries is preferred, but if you are interested in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies there is a tremendous opportunity for growth. You will regularly contribute to architecture and design decisions and will have full autonomy when it comes to how you believe a feature will be best implemented. We are not interested in the micromanaging of work, but efficiency, performance, and deliverability are a mainstay of our engineering philosophy.
Responsibilities:
Work with product and design teams to architect and implement new features for our current products.
Weigh in on feature scoping meetings for our new products.
Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant REST APIs and services.
Maintain a consistent line of communication with engineering management on the status of works in progress.
Deliver quality work on a collaboratively set delivery date, or communicate effectively with engineering management when delays occur.
Architect scalable and manageable MongoDB collections, with efficient queries and indexing.

Requirements:
Experience with all/most technologies listed.
10+ years as a professional software engineer, experience in the gaming or iGaming industry is a plus.
Experience in working in a Kanban and continuous integration/continuous delivery environment.
Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and optimization skills.
Experience working with event-driven architectures.
Experience with Domain-Driven Design is a plus.
Experience with performance monitoring tools and log aggregation systems is a plus.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate architecture decisions, ideas, and implementation strategies to both engineers and non-engineers.
Capability to work independently on features when the scope is well defined.
Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to be in the Miami, FL office 2-3 days/week.
