Lead DevOps DeveloperLocation: Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL (Remote Until Covid) Duration: 6+ Month ContractPosition Summary:Lead DevOps (Automation) Developer is responsible for design, development and maintenance of automated processes for a wide variety of databases, data integration, business intelligence products such as Oracle, Informatica, SQL Server, DynamoDB, Aurora, Power BI etc. using a combination of automation tools such as CHEF, HPOO, Terraform and programming such as Python.Experience:Experience with CHEF and HPOO is highly desiredExperience with Bitbucket, Jenkins, Git and CI/CD pipelineDevelopment scripting experience with Python and RubyContribute to overall automation framework design and enhancementExperience with Terraform is an added benefitExperience in Agile ScrumExperience with at least one RDBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, SybaseKnowledge of and experience with basic aspects of Linux system administrationExcellent communication and presentation skills.Extensive history designing, coding, implementing, and supporting Infrastructure/Operations-side automation solutions in a corporate environment.Creative problem solver with excellent diagnostic abilities.Minimum of 5 years' experience developing end to end automation solutionsMinimum of 7 years' IT experience in software development and/or engineeringPrincipal Responsibilities:Design and develop end to end automated solutions for a wide variety of databases, data integration, business intelligence products, processes and capabilitiesIdentify manual processes that can be automatedImplement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healingDetermine and document technical requirements of projects to ensure that specifications are met.Provide out of the box and creative thinking to solve complex problemsWork closely with platform and application engineers and architects to develop new and enhance existing automation solutionsWork closely with Infrastructure teams during implementation of solutionsParticipate in testing and quality assurance aspects of projectsAutomation source code management using BitBucketIntegrate automated test with CI/CD pipelineProvide post implementation production support as neededPresent and demo automation solutions to technical and business stakeholdersLeverage skills to develop proof of concepts for projects and when needed utilize programming and scripting techniques for complex situationsContribute to overall automation framework design and enhancement
