Improve and maintain existing sites (content updates, layout adjustments, new sections/pages)
Ensure sites are mobile responsive, accessible, and consistent with brand standards
Optimize for site speed / Core Web Vitals (image compression, caching basics, page bloat cleanup)
Implement basic SEO best practices (titles/meta, headings, internal links, schema plugins when needed)
Troubleshoot plugin/theme conflicts and fix common WordPress issues
Coordinate with our team on tasks, timelines, and feedback rounds
Document handoffs and site admin info cleanly (so clients aren’t dependent on guesswork)

Great eye for layout, spacing, typography, and conversion-focused page structure
Solid understanding of WordPress fundamentals: themes, plugins, hosting environments, updates
Comfortable with at least “light” code when needed (HTML/CSS; bonus if JS/PHP basics)
Familiarity with common tools/plugins (examples: WPForms/Gravity Forms, RankMath, caching, image optimization, security)
Reliable communication and the ability to manage tasks independently
Live in or near Memphis, TN and able to commute to our office at least twice weekly
Reliable transportation and consistent availability for in-office collaboration
Nice-to-haves
Experience with WooCommerce
Experience with Crocoblock/JetPlugins, Advanced Custom Fields, or custom post types
Experience migrating sites (staging → live, domain moves, hosting moves)
Familiarity with Figma/Adobe/Canva and translating a design into a build
Accessibility awareness (WCAG basics)

Part-time: ~20 hours/week to start
Growth: opportunity to increase hours after a trial period based on performance and fit
