And we do, because a trusted partner is who we are and who we've been for nearly a century.POSITION PURPOSEThe Environmental Safety and Health Manager is responsible for maintaining compliance with various Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations regarding workplace safety.RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrate the knowledge and understanding required of an OSHA Competent PersonContinuously evaluate Metromont's processes, safety standards, and safety practices and provide feedback on areas where non-compliance with regulations may existImplement corrective action in areas found to be non-complaint with regulationsParticipate in training classes and continual education required to maintain OSHA 100-hour certificationIn case of an audit, serve as the main liaison on site between Metromont and the regulator agencyLead plant management in safety improvement efforts and implementation of Metromont's safety programsServe as the leader and mentor on site for Metromont's Behavioral Based Safety ProgramFacilitate safety committee meetingsParticipate in plant safety audits and routine process confirmation walks.
