About this Role – Payroll Specialist
We are looking for a talented Payroll Specialist who has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for processing payroll for exempt and non-exempt personnel utilizing a wide variety of administrative, organizational, computer and customer service skills.
What You’ll Do
Inputs & verifies data from all time sheets into the JDE payroll system on a timely basis, basic knowledge of JDE manual time entry requirements.
Expeditiously enter & verify EE information into JDE following processes & procedures.
Process weekly payroll, balance payroll reports & submit for processing
Familiar with payroll taxes, especially state taxes and reciprocity for all cycles with proper JDE setup.
Forwards employee ACH & non-union deductions to responsible person, verifies ACH setup
Maintains contact with field and satellite office personnel in support of payroll processing
Assists with the verification of union wage and benefits data in JDE with good understanding of union setup
Assists with the reporting of weekly and monthly union benefits and coordinates payments with minimal assistance
Completes and balances support tasks as assigned and provides coverage for other cycles
Expeditiously completes all tasks with minimal assistance and minimal errors

Demonstrated multi-tasking and data entry skills
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Education beyond High School Preferred)
Associates Degree in Accounting (Preferred, Not Required)
Minimum of 2-3 years of payroll or payroll related experience (1+ year(s) MJE Experience)
