This is an early-career launchpad into Human Resources.As our Human Resources Assistant, you’ll work closely with the HR Manager and gain hands-on exposure to everything that happens across the employee lifecycle—from recruiting and onboarding to engagement, data, and performance support. You’ll see how a modern HR function works inside a growing, private-equity-backed company and play a real part in shaping the employee experience. We are intentionally hiring someone who wants to build a career in HR. We will invest in your training, pay for your HR certification (SHRM or PHR), and give you the opportunity to grow into an HR Generalist role over time. You will be highly visible across the company, regularly interacting with candidates, new hires, employees, and leadership. If you enjoy working with people, being organized, and learning how great companies are built behind the scenes, this is a fantastic place to start. What You’ll DoEmployee Experience & LifecycleYou’ll help support employees from their first interview to their last day—and everything in between.Assist with recruiting, onboarding, engagement, development support, and offboardingHelp ensure employees feel welcomed, informed, and supportedPartner with the HR Manager to deliver a consistent, high-quality employee experienceRecruiting & HiringPost jobs, review resumes, and coordinate interviewsCommunicate with candidates and keep them informed throughout the processSupport offer letters and pre-employment stepsTrack recruiting data such as time-to-fill and candidate flowOnboarding & OffboardingPrepare new hire paperwork, system access, and orientation materialsHelp create a smooth, professional, and welcoming first-day experienceCoordinate offboarding, exit paperwork, and system access removalHR Systems & DataMaintain accurate employee records in HR systemsRun basic reports and assist with audits and data cleanupUse Excel and HR tools to organize and analyze informationEmployee SupportServe as a first point of contact for common HR questionsHandle sensitive information with discretion and professionalismSupport benefits, payroll coordination, and HR vendors as neededCulture & ProjectsSupport employee programs like open enrollment, recognition, and company initiativesHelp manage HR projects using tools like AsanaAssist with internal communications and engagement effortsAssist in coordinating on-site events and meetingsOffice Management SupportWorking in Augusta, GA or Dallas, TX will also include light office management including, shipping packages, stocking supplies and refrigerator for employees in office What We’re Looking ForRequiredBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field2–4 years of experience in HR, recruiting, onboarding and employee supportStrong organization and attention to detailComfort using Excel, HRIS systems, and task-tracking tools, like AsanaAbility to handle confidential information professionallyStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in-office in Augusta, GA or Plano, TX on a hybrid schedule, if local to those areasIdeal (But Not Required)Interest in growing into an HR Coordinator or HR Generalist roleCuriosity about HR compliance, best practices, and people analyticsDesire to earn SHRM or PHR certification (we’ll pay for it)What You GetCompany-paid HR certification (SHRM or PHR)Real exposure to how HR works inside a fast-growing, private-equity-backed companyMentorship and hands-on learning from experienced HR leadershipA clear path to grow your HR careerBest Lawyers is proud to be an equal opportunity employer welcoming applicants from underrepresented groups, including individuals with disabilities and veterans.
