Aerospace Quality Specialist

Under general supervision and reporting to Quality Operations Leadership, the Quality Specialist is responsible for approving nonconformances, lead improvement projects, coordination with MRB, and conduct audits, as required acting with minimal direction to drive solutions.Job Responsibilities:Approve production nonconformances and support Material Review Board (MRB) disposition activities alongside the Production Quality Engineer Support containment activities including sort, rework, and isolation under the direction of PQE/MQEConduct layered process audits, product audits, torque audits, teardown audits, and other quality auditsMaintain production targets, including NC approval and inspection coverage during staffing gapsPrimary point of contact for harvesting prioritization Author and maintain SOPs for inspection processesManage ordering and tracking of tools and equipment for the inspection team Lead large-scale nonconformance reduction initiatives under PQE guidance, or lead smaller-scale initiatives independently in high-ambiguity situationsClearly define problems, build action plans, and drive closure Analyze quality data using Advanced Excel, Minitab, JMP, and SQL (executing pre-built queries with filter inputs)Document inspection results, maintain accurate records, and prepare detailed reports.Process and identify non-conforming product and MRB paperwork for proper disposition.
