Job Description Construction Lead / Skilled Operator (Excavation & Concrete) Company OverviewWe work with a well-established residential construction company specializing in excavation, concrete work, and seawall/bulkhead repair and replacement. Position SummaryThey are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Lead to take over a key role within their team. This position involves hands-on work in excavation and concrete, as well as coordinating job site activities and maintaining strong communication with crews, suppliers, and inspectors. Key ResponsibilitiesOperate excavators safely and efficiently for residential construction projectsPerform concrete work including forming, pouring, and finishingLead and assist with seawall and bulkhead repairs and replacementsCoordinate with building inspectors to ensure compliance and smooth project flowSchedule and communicate with ready-mix concrete suppliers and pump truck operatorsOversee job site progress and support team members as neededMaintain company standards for quality, safety, and professionalismAbility to set and verify elevations and drainage grades using laser levels to ensure accurate site preparation and proper water flowQualificationsProven experience operating excavators in a construction settingStrong background in concrete forming and finishingExperience with seawall or bulkhead work preferredAbility to read plans and execute work with minimal supervisionExcellent communication and coordination skillsReliable, punctual, and detail-orientedStrong work ethic and commitment to high-quality resultsWhat We're Looking ForHonest and dependable individualSelf-motivated with leadership abilityTeam player who can also work independentlySomeone who takes pride in their work and represents the company wellCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experience ($30–40 per hour)Opportunities for growth within the companyMedical and retirement benefits availableVacation and sick payCompany DescriptionExpress Employment Professionals is a leading staffing provider in the U.S., Canada and South Africa.
