Gas Compression Project Engineer (Packaged Units)
What You Will DoDesign and engineer gas compression packages per company, industry, and project standards.Interpret project quotes and review vendor proposals for compliance.Select and size system components, including pressure relief valves per API 520/521.Develop Bill of Materials and manage multiple domestic/international projects.Support Sales and Applications teams in proposals and project scheduling.Oversee design accuracy, fabrication drawings, and internal reviews.Identify scope changes and coordinate Change Orders.Collaborate with shop staff, troubleshoot fabrication issues, and ensure quality.Manage engineering budgets and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.Ensure final documentation aligns with client requirements.Assist with unit commissioning, service support, and warranty evaluations.Contribute to company engineering and design standards.Education, Skills & ExperienceDegree, diploma, or technical training in ME, EE, Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in reciprocating natural gas compression packages.Strong knowledge of ANSI B31.3 and mechanical systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong problem-solving skills.Hands-on collaboration with design and fabrication teams.Excellent communication, organizational, and planning abilities.PE certification preferred; experience in power generation or offshore oil and gas is a plus.
