Job Description Maintenance Supervisor (Food Manufacturing)Location: White Bear Lake, MNJob Type: Full-TimeShift: 6 PM–6 AM, Rotating 12-hour scheduleCompensation:$75,000–$83,000 per yearAbout the OpportunityOur client, a leading U.S. food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to support operations at their White Bear Lake production facility. This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, supporting continuous improvement, and overseeing a team in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.This position is ideal for someone with strong technical abilities, proven supervisory experience, and a passion for safety, quality, and operational excellence.What You'll DoSupervise maintenance employees on assigned shifts in a 24/7 production facility.Partner with engineering and facility leadership to improve safety, production quality, and equipment reliability.Oversee maintenance activities and capital projects for the site.Maintain production systems, utilities, building systems, and grounds using mechanical and electrical expertise.Use a CMMS to schedule and manage preventive maintenance for optimal equipment uptime.Ensure proper operation of utilities including refrigeration, electrical, steam, and compressed air systems.Apply corrective actions based on key maintenance performance indicators.Stay current with industry regulations, codes, and best practices.Maintain technical documentation (PLCs, schematics, SOPs, manuals, PM procedures, etc.).Enforce safety, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory policies.Handle documentation such as maintenance logs, incident reports, and investigations.Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate maintenance personnel; participate in workforce-related discussions (including bargaining-unit interactions if applicable).Support training programs for team development.Perform additional duties as assigned.What Makes You a Great FitBachelor's degree in a related field preferred; will consider equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in dairy, food, and/or beverage manufacturing.Prior supervisory experience required.Working knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, PLCs, electrical systems, cooling towers, ammonia compressors, and packaging equipment.Skilled in electronics, instrumentation, troubleshooting, reading electrical schematics, and ladder logic.Strong understanding of GMPs, safety practices, sanitation, and quality procedures.Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational, prioritization, and leadership abilities.Capable of leading teams through operational change.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.Why This Opportunity Stands OutCareer development and growth pathways.Competitive compensation and benefits package.Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a well-established, people-focused manufacturing operation.
