This team handles delinquent accounts that have received court judgments. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for preparing payoff documents, releases, and assisting with taxpayer inquiries and administrative tasks.Essential FunctionsPrepare, proofread, and forward various judgment payoff documents (standard, deficiency, strike-off, private resale, bankruptcy, etc.)Draft and process releases of judgment (standard, partial, resale, homestead-related, etc.)Respond to phone calls and emails regarding payoffs and releases; assist with Post Judgment mail lineResearch and prepare Releases of Judgment from the JP list (twice annually)Create payment plans for taxpayersProcess check copies and prepare corresponding releasesAssist walk-in customers as neededReview files for sale when time permitsPerform other duties as assigned by the manager, including customer service and administrative supportAssessment RequirementsAll candidates must complete the following assessments prior to consideration.
