Network EngineerEnglewood, CO(4 days Onsite a week)6+ Months ContractRequired Skills :Must have CPE (Customer premise equipment) experience Advanced knowledge of the DOCSIS and PON or EPON standards Targeting applicants that have previous work employment at: Sercom, Ubee, Hitron, Vantiva, Sagemcom, Jumax, Maxlinear, Broadcom, Comcast, COXJob Description :Description:Troubleshoots and resolves escalated Access and CPE device field issues. Performs assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps. Establishes security, connectivity and access parameters. Provides recommendations to optimize network infrastructure. Tests and tunes security devices and systems. Programs routers and switches. Implements communications technologies (data or voice). Manages network services from planning phase through implementation. Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies and network infrastructure is required. 10 years of experience. Additional Skillsets being sought:·                Advanced knowledge of the DOCSIS and EPON standards·                Working knowledge of CMTS platforms including:o        Casa C100Go        Arris E6000o        Cisco cBR8·                RPHY·                Harmonic vCMTS and RPDs·                Vecima RPDs·                Working knowledge of EPON platforms including:o        ADTRAN 95XX and SDX-6210o        Vecima (Nokia) 7360 and Distributed Access Architecture SF-4x, SC-2D3·                Working knowledge of switch platforms including:o        Cisco NCS/ASRo        Juniper PTX/QFX/ACX·                Working knowledge of routing protocols including:o        OSPFo        ISISo        BGPo        v4/v6 Multicast·                Ability to write technical documentation·                Ability to write and follow detailed technical test plans·                CPE and ONU background in trouble shooting is highly desirable·                Creative Network Trouble Shooting Skills
