You have extensive experience supporting large-scale enterprise or telecom-grade environments and are comfortable working across architecture, operations, troubleshooting, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses strong Routing & Switching expertise, cloud infrastructure experience, and operational ownership supporting mission-critical environments. Advanced certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly valued.As a Consultant, you'll contribute to client engagements by delivering insights, building deliverables, and leading workstreams. You'll be expected to bring strong analytical thinking, and a proactive mindset to solve client problems and drive transformation.Role and Responsibilities:You may work on various projects throughout your career with Excelacom. The roles and responsibilities noted below pertain to the specific role listed above.Configure, troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain enterprise Routing & Switching environmentsSupport Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching infrastructure in enterprise and data center environmentsManage Layer 2/Layer 3 networking including VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, STP, routing failover, and redundancy technologiesSupport routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and IS-ISSupport WAN, MPLS, and SD-WAN environments across enterprise and cloud infrastructuresImplement QoS, ACLs, NAT/PAT, and network security policiesTroubleshoot packet loss, latency, routing, and network performance issues using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, traceroute, and SNMP monitoring solutionsSupport Cisco Nexus data center fabrics and exposure to VXLAN/EVPN technologies preferredDesign and support AWS infrastructure including EC2, VPCs, Route Tables, Security Groups, and hybrid cloud networkingAdminister Linux and/or Windows Server environments and support VMware/virtualization infrastructureSupport infrastructure monitoring, patch management, backup, disaster recovery, and upgrade activitiesSupport DNS, DHCP, and IPAM administrationParticipate in infrastructure automation initiatives utilizing Terraform, Ansible, and/or Python scriptingMaintain infrastructure documentation, standards, and operational proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional teams supporting infrastructure modernization and operational stability initiativesWork closely with clients to identify process improvementsAnalyze business challenges and recommend technology-driven solutionsSupport system development, integration, and testing activitiesDevelop presentations, deliverables, and implementation plansAssist with proposals and business development effortsRequired Qualifications:7+ years of experience supporting enterprise networking and cloud infrastructure environmentsStrong hands-on expertise with Routing & Switching technologies and Cisco Catalyst/Nexus platformsExperience supporting enterprise routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and IS-ISExperience with WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, QoS, ACLs, and network security technologiesStrong AWS infrastructure experience including EC2, VPCs, Route Tables, Security Groups, and hybrid connectivityExperience administering Linux and/or Windows Server environmentsExperience supporting VMware or enterprise virtualization platformsExperience supporting infrastructure monitoring, maintenance, disaster recovery, and operational support activitiesExposure to automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Python scripting preferredOne or more of the following certifications required: CCNP, CCIE, AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, or AWS SysOps AdministratorPrior consulting experience – in an agile environment – with a leading strategy firm, consulting practice, or consulting technology firmProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)Strong verbal and written communication skillsBachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related fieldPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable is highly preferredPast success in generating new business with existing clientsGood time management and collaboration skillsExperience supporting telecom-grade or large-scale enterprise infrastructure environmentsExposure to Cisco Nexus data center fabrics, VXLAN, and EVPN technologiesExperience supporting hybrid cloud and highly available enterprise environmentsCompensation and Benefits:Excelacom offers competitive salaries, health and wellness benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and career growth opportunities.For regular full-time employees, the estimated salary range is from $100,000 to $130,000.EEO Statement:Excelacom, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
