Job Description Location: Tyler, TexasAbout the RoleWe are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to manage all financial aspects of an $18 million FinTech company. This role oversees the daily operations of the accounting function, ensures strong internal controls, and maintains full compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.The Financial Controller reports directly to the Company President and will play a key role in supporting the company's continued growth and expansion of its product lines.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the monthly close and preparation of financial statementsCreate comprehensive financial reporting packagesPresent financial results to the management teamDevelop and manage annual budgetsPrepare all client schedules and supporting documentation for annual audits (two entities)Oversee daily cash management, including cash flow statements and projectionsExecute weekly vendor check runsReconcile credit cards, bank accounts, and general ledger accountsRecord cash receipts in the general ledgerRecord residual payments and process weekly bonus payments to company agentsPrepare and file sales tax reportsReview and approve ADP payroll tax filingsManage property taxes and franchise taxesServe as liaison to regulators and external auditors, as assignedPerform special projects as neededCandidate RequirementsCPA designation required2+ years of audit experience in public accounting3–5 years of experience as a Financial ControllerStrong Excel skills, including pivot tablesFinTech industry experience preferredExperience with Sage 50 Accounting Software a plusProficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
