We’re looking for a forward-thinking IT Manager to build and lead our IT function from the ground up – someone who’s as excited about the future of technology as we are.Position OverviewAs IT Manager, you will be the driving force behind Epicutis’s technology infrastructure, security posture, and sales technology enablement. This is a ground-floor leadership opportunity: you’ll build the IT department, establish policies and systems, and have the autonomy to shape the company’s entire technology strategy. You will report to executive leadership, including the COO and President of Sales & Marketing, making this a highly visible and impactful role.Key ResponsibilitiesIT Infrastructure & OperationsDesign, implement, and manage the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud environments, and office technology systemsOversee hardware procurement and management for Apple and Windows devices across the organizationManage and optimize the company’s technology stack, including Microsoft 365, Zoho One, Cloudflare, Shopify, LastPass, and other platformsEstablish IT onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, including account provisioning, device setup, and access managementManage physical office IT needs, including conference room technology, printers, and network infrastructureDevelop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure operational resilienceCybersecurity & ComplianceBuild and enforce the company’s cybersecurity framework, including policies, procedures, and incident response plansManage security tools and platforms such as LastPass and Cloudflare to protect company data and assetsConduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysesEnsure compliance with applicable data protection regulations and industry standardsDevelop and deliver security awareness training for all employeesSales Technology EnablementTrain sales representatives on technology tools and solutions to maximize effectiveness and productivityDevelop and implement new technology solutions tailored to the sales team’s needs, including automation workflows using Zapier, Manychat, and AI toolsLeverage AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT) to build innovative sales workflows, content generation pipelines, and customer engagement automationsPartner with the President of Sales & Marketing to identify technology opportunities that drive revenue growthAI & AutomationChampion the adoption and integration of AI and automation tools across the organizationBuild and maintain automated workflows using Zapier, Manychat, and custom AI integrationsEvaluate and implement emerging AI technologies to improve business operations, customer engagement, and internal efficiencyDevelop AI usage policies and best practices for the organizationTeam Building & LeadershipBuild the IT department from the ground up, including hiring, training, and mentoring IT staffCreate IT policies, documentation, and a knowledge base to support scalable operationsManage IT projects from planning through execution, ensuring on-time and on-budget deliveryProvide end-user support and serve as the escalation point for complex technical issuesQualificationsRequired5+ years of experience in IT management, systems administration, or a related technical leadership roleProven hands-on experience with AI and automation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier, Manychat) – this is critical for the roleStrong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practicesExperience managing Microsoft 365 environments, including administration and user managementProficiency with both Apple and Windows ecosystems, including device management and supportExperience managing IT vendors, contracts, and budgetsDemonstrated ability to train non-technical teams on technology solutionsStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholdersPreferredCybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent)IT maintenance and infrastructure certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL, Microsoft certifications)Experience with Zoho One, Shopify, Cloudflare, Roam, or similar platformsExperience building an IT department or function from scratchBackground in biotech, pharmaceutical, or
