ADAS Simulation Engineer

ADAS/AD Driving, Safety & Parking Functions Virtual ValidationConduct virtual validation of ADAS/AD driving, safety & parking functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Highway Assist, Lane Change Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Protection, Automated Parking etc.Contribute to creating & updating the virtual model & simulation setup; create & execute scenarios for features validation at vehicle level, post-process results, generate report, discuss & present results to ADAS leadership for drawing appropriate conclusions.Be responsible for developing necessary pre & post-processing scripts, selection of scenarios, mapping of virtual validation cases with feature requirements while ensuring appropriate model fidelity.Correlate virtual modeling results with actual vehicle test data as necessary and appropriate for different fidelity models.Leverage state-of-the-art processes, virtual validation tools, data transfer & analysis in a highly interactive and collaborative environment.Facilitate and align related cross-functional technical teams such as ADAS software development (motion planning, perception etc.), vehicle chassis, powertrain, infotainment for ADAS system level validation and development activities.Work with suppliers as necessary and represent Lucid ADAS systems validation team.Explore various approaches for virtual validation (HIL, SIL and Vehicle-In-Loop).Expectations:Experience developing and executing virtual validation test plans for ADAS features on high performance computers or cloudExperience with ADAS virtual simulation tools & methods – IPG CarMaker, Applied Intuition, CARLA, CarSim, Ansys, Simens or other such tools; dSpace or National Instruments HILs etc.Experience and understanding of Open Scenario formatExperience in working with ADAS or AD automotive features for mass productionWorking experience at automotive Tier 1/2 suppliers or OEMs, with an understanding of automotive processes and workflowsProgramming skills related to simulation automation, results post-processing etc. (e.g. Python, C/C++, MatLab/Simulink)Capability and creativity to successfully complete projects with unconventional ideas in highly constrained, innovative startup environmentsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) & ownership mindsetAdvantageous:Previous experience of simulating ADAS/AD features at OEM or Tier 1Experience in developing models from scratch, model correlation and executing scenarios on cloudOn-road or proving ground vehicle testing experience for ADAS features a big plusUnderstanding of SOTIF & coverage, ISO 26262, NCAPBroad understanding of various ADAS/AD systems and the interactions between mechanical, electrical and software components within the systemExperience with Vector tools: CANoe, CANape and CAPLProficiency with agile development tools and environments (Jira, Jama,...)Requirements:BS minimum in System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar and 2 years of engineering experience in the automotive industryORMS minimum in System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
