Senior Cost Accountant Needed!Our client is a leader in the consumer goods industry. They are seeking a highly motivated Senior Cost Accountant to join their growing financial team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our cost accounting systems, providing valuable insights to support informed decision-making.Responsibilities:Manage and oversee all aspects of the cost accounting function, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost allocation.Process Standard Cost transactions, for Material, Labor, and Overhead as needed; evaluate and resolve unusual variances.Analyze inventory valuations and correct as neededPrepare cost reports and presentations for management, clearly communicating complex financial data.Evaluate and create product cost updates for inventory items added by the operations teamMaintain a strong understanding of relevant accounting standards and regulations.Utilize cost accounting software and stay current with industry best practices.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.Accounting ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, etc)4+ years of experience in a senior cost accounting roleProven expertise in cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis, and activity-based costing (ABC).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve cost variances.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
