Software Engineer (Angular) - 100% Remote - 6 month contract to hire - W2 ONLYOptomi in partnership with a leader in providing support for the operations and maintenance of equipment and designs, developing systems that support unmanned combat air patrols managed by Air Combat Command (ACC). You will be responsible for developing, designing, and optimizing user interfaces for web applications. Your primary focus will be on building highly scalable and responsive applications using Angular. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in the design process by incorporating your graphic design and interaction design expertise to create visually stunning and user-centered interfaces.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain web applications using Angular to ensure high performance and responsiveness.Collaborate with the engineering team to create and implement visually appealing and user-friendly UI/UX designs.Leverage your graphic design skills to enhance the visual quality of the web applications.Apply interaction design (IxDA) principles to create engaging and intuitive user experiences.Work closely with backend developers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into functional and visually appealing web applications.Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.Utilize AWS CodeBuild to implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for automated builds and deployments.Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain the performance and quality of the applications.Stay updated with the latest front-end and graphic design trends, tools, and technologies.Required Skills and Qualifications:2+ years of experience as a Front-End Developer with a focus on web application development.Strong proficiency in Angular and CSS3Graphic design skills with a portfolio showcasing your design work.Experience in Interaction Design (IxDA), including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.Experience with RESTful APIs, component-based architecture, and front-end state management.Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.Strong attention to detail, with an eye for design and user experience aesthetics.Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Slack).Additional Qualifications Considered a PlusFamiliarity with other front-end frameworks and libraries such as React or Vue.js.Experience with TypeScript, RxJS, SCSS).Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, and CloudFront.Knowledge of serverless architecture and microservices.Experience with automated testing frameworks.Understanding of agile development methodologies and experience in a collaborative team environment.
