This role is more than recruiting and onboarding—it is end-to-end stewardship of the new employee experience.You will develop and coordinate a seamless, high-impact experience that begins with a compelling job posting and carries through interviews, hiring, orientation, and the critical first three months of vocation. Every touchpoint—every email, every conversation, every first day—will reflect clarity, care, and excellence. Rooted in a theology of vocation and hospitality, this role ensures that every candidate and new employee experiences clarity, care, and excellence—from first contact through full integration—while maintaining legal compliance, operational rigor, and alignment with the mission and values of the organization.Essential FunctionsRecruiting & Selection Management Lead end-to-end recruiting efforts, including posting, screening, interviewing, reference checks, background checks, and hiring coordination for employees, interns, and contractors.Onboarding & Orientation Leadership Design and manage a consistent, mission-aligned onboarding and orientation experience that integrates new hires culturally, spiritually, and operationally.Compliance & Employment Documentation Ensure accurate and timely completion and maintenance of I-9s, immigration documentation, independent contractor records, employee files, and related compliance requirements.HR Systems & Process Administration Administer recruiting and onboarding workflows within Paycom and other HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, audit readiness, and process efficiency.Employee Lifecycle Transitions Manage 90-day evaluations, exit interviews, recognition touchpoints, and transition processes that provide insight, care, and organizational learning.Other Key ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & HiringManage recruiting logistics including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communications, and hiring timelinesConduct or coordinate initial screenings and structured interviewsFacilitate reference checks and background checks in accordance with policyPartner with hiring managers to ensure role clarity, alignment, and fair selection practicesSupport workforce pipelines, including intentional internship programsOnboarding & OrientationCoordinate orientation sessions, materials, schedules, and presentersEnsure completion of onboarding tasks prior to and during the first 90 daysPartner with supervisors to support early engagement and retentionTrack and administer 90-day evaluations and feedback loopsSystems, Records & ComplianceMaintain employee files in compliance with federal, state, and organizational standardsManage I-9 verification, immigration compliance, and independent contractor documentationSupport OSHA documentation and compliance trackingEnsure data integrity within Paycom and related systemsCulture, Recognition & TransitionsSupport the Recognition Team by coordinating milestones and onboarding-related celebrationsConduct exit interviews and synthesize insights for leadership and HR planningEnsure offboarding processes are completed accurately, pastorally, and professionallyKnowledge & SkillsWorking knowledge of employment compliance, including I-9s, immigration requirements, and contractor classificationStrong organizational and project-management skills with attention to detailAbility to manage multiple searches and onboarding processes simultaneouslyExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsHigh degree of discretion, confidentiality, and ethical judgmentMinistry & Culture FitAlignment with the mission, values, and faith commitments of the organizationAbility to integrate professionalism, hospitality, and pastoral sensitivityCommitment to fostering a culture of dignity, clarity, and belonging for staff and candidatesSpiritual DevelopmentSupport and model individual spiritual formation i.e. Worship, Grow and Serve. Kneeling, reaching sitting on the floor and getting up again.QualificationsRequired QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) strongly preferred3–5 years of experience in recruiting, onboarding, or HR operationsDemonstrated experience managing HR systems Experience in a church, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizationExperience designing internship or early-career programs
