Director of Commissioning

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Industrial Commissioning Manager to lead a team delivering commissioning activities across power generation projects, with exposure to refineries, compressor stations, substations, and data centres. The role is office-based with moderate site travel.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage a commissioning team, ensuring safe, timely, and successful project delivery.Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and vendors to align objectives and resolve issues.Develop and manage project schedules, track progress, and ensure compliance using industry-standard commissioning software.Prepare commissioning plans, procedures, and reports to industry and client standards.Conduct site visits across all commissioning phases, providing technical guidance as needed.Identify and mitigate risks, maintaining adherence to safety protocols throughout.Report on project status and risks to both project teams and senior leadership.Mentor junior staff and support knowledge transfer across teams.Requirements:Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.10+ years of commissioning management experience in power generation; related industry experience is a strong advantage.Proficiency with industry-standard commissioning software and project scheduling tools.Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.Ability to travel 30–50% depending on project phase.
