Engineering Manager

RCS Staffing has an immediate need for an Engineering Manager in Office Based with flexible scheduling. This is a full-time direct-hire Office Based assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays.Overview of YOUR role as an Engineering ManagerThis role owns project execution — delivering work that is accurate, constructible, and ready for the field — while developing a strong team and scalable systems. If you've worked at a refinery, chemical plant, or large industrial facilities and understand how projects get executed, this role will feel familiar. You will work closely with leadership to translate vision into results and help build a high-performance engineering organization.As an Engineering Manager YOU will:Deliver accurate, high-quality engineering plans and details that can be built in the fieldEnsure projects are completed on time and on budgetBuild and lead a high-performing engineering and design teamDrive consistency, quality, and throughput across all projectsImplement and maintain project management systems and standardsDevelop team members through mentorship and accountabilityKey Responsibilities:Lead and manage engineers, designers, and drafters day-to-dayEstablish clear priorities, workloads, and schedules across projectsImplement and enforce project workflows, QA/QC, and standardsTrack and improve key metrics (schedule, budget, utilization, quality)Partner with leadership on hiring, staffing, and team developmentDevelop and review scopes, estimates, and deliverables for accuracy and alignment with client expectationsYOU are the ideal Engineering Manager candidate if you have:10+ years engineering and project management experience (industrial preferred)Professional Engineering (PE) license required (or plan to be acquired within 6 months of hiring)Small project experience required · Proven experience leading engineering/design teams and supporting and developing othersStrong in execution, making sound decisions, and consistently following through to completionComfortable managing multiple projects and prioritiesExperience with project delivery in refinery, chemical, or industrial environmentsTake pride in delivering work that gets built correctly the first timeHold yourself and others accountableBring structure, clarity, and follow-through to a teamHave seen what happens when projects go wrong — and know how to prevent itCare about developing people and building a strong teamIt's a BONUS if you have:Master's degree in Engineering or related fieldExperience implementing project management systems and standardsBackground in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial sectorsExperience with engineering software and project management toolsTrack record of team development and mentorshipAbout Our CLIENTOur client focuses on delivering high-quality engineered plans and details for industrial projects.
