Must be obtained within 4 months of hire for new graduates and nurses new to the specialty, and maintained thereafter. - Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for experienced nurses at the time of hire, or within 60 days for new graduates and nurses new to the specialty, then maintained thereafter. - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred **Must-Have:** - Completion of all annual competency verification requirements - Attendance at New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire for newly hired experienced RNs - Preceptorship and completion of designated organizational entry competency validation **Job Description:** - Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. - Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. - Administer medications and treatments according to protocol; monitor for side-effects and treatment effectiveness. - Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided. - Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers. - Develop and use a specific plan of care and modify it to meet individual patient needs using evidence-based practice. - Plan, direct, and evaluate the overall nursing care and functions in the unit during the assigned shift. - Incorporate patient safety practices and guidelines to promote a safe environment resulting in positive patient outcomes. - Educate and train others on the operations, ethics, and regulations within the industry. - Ensure all equipment and related supplies are in proper working order to ensure patient safety.26111358EXPPLATJob RequirementsRequired for OnboardingACLS - AHABLS - AHACore CompetencyPharmacologySkills ChecklistSpecialty ExamAbout Cynet HealthYour travel nursing adventure begins here.
