Python Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join a Market Risk Technology team responsible for building and enhancing enterprise-level risk platforms. The role involves developing scalable systems for risk calculations, scenario analysis, and financial analytics to support business-critical decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable applications for market risk analytics and reportingCollaborate with business stakeholders, quantitative analysts, and cross-functional technology teamsBuild and enhance platforms for risk calculations (VaR, stress testing), time-series data, and scenario managementDevelop high-quality, secure, and resilient code following best engineering practicesPerform system design, development, testing, and production supportTroubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize system performanceContribute to architecture design and ensure alignment with enterprise standardsParticipate in Agile development processes and CI/CD practicesContinuously improve code quality, system reliability, and development processesRequired Skills & Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience in Python developmentStrong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologiesExperience in system design, application development, and production supportSolid knowledge of CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practicesExperience working with financial systems or market risk domainStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and business teamsPreferred SkillsExperience with risk platforms or financial analytics systemsVery good on any one ecosystem experience ( Athena, Quartz, SecDB)Exposure to time-series data systems and large-scale data processingKnowledge of cloud technologies (AWS/Azure)Familiarity with React or modern front-end technologiesNice to HaveUnderstanding of Value at Risk (VaR), stress testing, and financial risk conceptsExperience working in investment banking or financial services environments
