Python / Angular Developer Risk & Financial Services

Salary is 180k to 200k + bonusWe are seeking a skilled Python / Angular Developer with strong experience in risk systems and financial services environments. This role will focus on designing, developing, and enhancing risk management applications, analytics platforms, and enterprise tools that support regulatory, market, and operational risk functions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop scalable backend services using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).Build responsive front-end applications using Angular to deliver intuitive risk dashboards and reporting tools.Develop and maintain risk analytics platforms supporting market, credit, liquidity, or operational risk functions.Integrate with financial data sources, trading systems, and third-party APIs.Implement data validation, reconciliation, and audit controls to ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity.Optimize application performance for high-volume financial data processing.Collaborate with risk managers, quantitative analysts, compliance teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD deployment processes.Required Qualifications5+ years of software development experience in financial services.Strong backend development experience with Python.Hands-on experience building front-end applications using Angular.Solid understanding of risk frameworks (market risk, credit risk, VaR, stress testing, P&L attribution, etc.).Experience working with financial data, pricing models, or trading systems.Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Preferred QualificationsExperience with regulatory reporting (Basel III, CCAR, IFRS9, etc.).Exposure to data engineering tools (Airflow, Spark, Pandas).Knowledge of DevOps practices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
