Are you ready to join us?This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging, and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes.Technician III, Electromechanical Technical SupportThe Technician III, Electromechanical Technical Support (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks in developing and maintaining electromechanical systems, including troubleshooting, testing, and assembly. You will also assist in equipment calibration and repair, requiring advanced technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.Specifics include:Troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative and corrective maintenance for all production equipment including, technical problems in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systemsAssisting others with technical problems within the team, including production personnelAssisting in the parts repair shop to rebuild and restore used parts to an "as-built" condition, adding to the annual cost avoidance totalAssisting with improvements to the maintenance systems (Preventative, Corrective, Predictive, and Spare Parts)Assisting with technical projects for equipment retrofits and upgrades, and with revising or writing SOPs and shop repair instructionsOptimizing manufacturing equipment and processes to provide balanced gains in product quality, output, product yield, and cost reductionAssisting with completing validation protocolsWhat You'll Bring To Alcon:High School Diploma or EquivalentThe ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English1 Year of Relevant ExperienceWork hours: 36 - 48 hours per week: 6:30 AM EST 6:30 PM EST (12-hour rotating day shift: 2 days on, 2 days off, and every other weekend)Location: OnsiteSponsorship & Relocation: Not AvailablePreferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:Industrial Maintenance ExperienceExperience in troubleshooting & repairing production equipmentA related technical school certification or equivalent training or experience (e.g., manufacturing technology, electrical engineering, etc.)How To Thrive At Alcon:Collaborate with teammates to share standard processes and learnings as work evolves!See your career like never before with focused growth and development opportunities!Join Alcon's mission to provide outstanding, innovative products and solutions to improve sight, improve lives, and grow your career!Alcon provides a robust benefits package including health, life, retirement, flexible time off for exempt associates, PTO for hourly associates, and much more!This position can be offered as Associate I, Electromechanical Technical Support depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.Alcon Careers:See your impact at alcon.com.careersAlcon is an equal opportunity employer and participates in E-Verify.
