You will test, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug electro-mechanical processing equipment and related systems. You must be able to communication and to work closely with Engineering, Project Management, and other Field Technicians on complex problems and assume responsibilities for continued customer satisfaction. This position requires frequent travel to customer sites to assist with installation, start-up, servicing/repairing Wastewater Treatment Equipment (WWTE) and related sub-systems, and Operator training.Principle Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist the Service Technician at FRC2 with the refurbishment of rental units.Able and willing to travel 50% to 60% of the time to perform service-related tasks at customer sites.Troubleshoot a variety of Industrial WWTE and resolve mechanical, electrical, and performance issues.Assist customers on the phone and/or in the field with troubleshooting equipment.Prepare detailed reports related to site visits, equipment problems/concerns/recommendations.Adhere to safety policies and use of safety equipment.Adhere to Corporate credit card and travel procedures.Position requires the ability to work extensive hours outdoors in sometimes less than ideal situations (adverse weather, noise, and possibly wet conditions)Physical Demand – Move and/or lift up to 50lbs, constant movement – standing, climbing, and walking.FRC is a Drug-Free Workplace, Employment subject to passing a drug test.Education2 years of technical trade or equivalent experience. Course work or prior verifiable work experience with installing, troubleshooting and/or repairing electrical/pneumatic/automated/industrial equipment. Must have mechanical aptitude with ability to use various hand/power tools to install/maintain equipment. Knowledge of electrical components and understanding of electrical current flow with ability to identify and troubleshoot the same.RequirementsAble and willing to travel a minimum 50% - 60% of the time.Able and willing to learn and apply required customer service skills.Able to learn, produce, and submit accurate service and expense reports in a timely manner.Prefer experience in mechanical and electrical repair on industrial wastewater equipment.Prefer knowledge of automated machine controls.Able to read and follow blueprints, machine drawings, and electrical drawings.Proficient in the use of a laptop computer and Microsoft Office suite.Able to use a variety of common power and hand tools.Able to work safely and efficiently according to industry standards.Valid driver’s license.Strong troubleshooting ability – The ability to look at the overall picture and determine source of problem/issue.Ability to qualify for a US passport.Working ConditionsRequires about 50% - 60% travel and may include non-traditional work hours.Ready and willing to assist the service technician at the FRC 2 facility when not travelling.Industrial Wastewater Treatment facility which can be cold or hot and damp environment.Use of personal protection devices (ear plugs, hard hat, and eye protection).When not traveling, work may need to be completed from hotels, and/or office.What we offer you12 Paid Holidays15 Paid Time Off (PTO) DaysMedical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance401k with 6% company matchEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Wellness ProgramBonus ProgramsSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
