Estimator / Project Manager Benchmark Property Services – Kansas City MetroBenchmark Property Services is a growing commercial general contractor specializing in industrial, office, multifamily, hospitality, and commercial renovation projects throughout the Kansas City region. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Estimator / Project Manager to help support our continued growth.This position functions as a “construction quarterback” within the company — helping lead projects from initial client contact and estimating through project coordination, subcontractor management, budgeting, scheduling, and overall execution.This role is heavily focused on estimating, budgeting, client development, and project coordination, while also assisting with overall project execution and field operations as needed.Primary Responsibilities·       Estimate commercial renovation and tenant improvement projects·       Develop budgets, scopes of work, and proposal packages·       Assist in developing and closing new business opportunities·       Build and maintain relationships with property managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients·       Participate in networking and industry relationship development·       Coordinate subcontractors, material deliveries, and project schedules·       Assist with project flow and field coordination to help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget·       Coordinate permitting and inspections with local municipalities and AHJs·       Conduct site visits, walkthroughs, and job progress evaluations·       Assist with project documentation, change orders, procurement, and project administrationWork Environment & Travel Expectations·       This is an in-office position based in the Kansas City metro area and is not a remote-only role·       Flexible scheduling is available; however, candidates must be consistently available during standard business hours·       Occasional evening availability may be required for networking events, client meetings, or industry functions·       This role requires regular travel to and from job sites, supplier locations, municipal offices, client meetings, and other project-related destinations throughout the Kansas City region·       Candidates must maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportationField & Physical ExpectationsWhile this is primarily an estimating and project management role, candidates must be comfortable working in active construction environments and assisting with field operations when needed.Candidates must be able to:·       Walk active construction job sites and uneven terrain·       Climb ladders and access rooftops when necessary·       Safely lift, carry, and move materials, tools, ladders, or equipment on a regular basis·       Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds·       Assist with material deliveries, unloading, light jobsite cleanup, or general support tasks as needed·       Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditionsWe are looking for a team-oriented individual who is willing to do what is necessary to help projects succeed.Preferred Background & ExperienceWe are open to candidates from a variety of commercial construction backgrounds.
