Job Description Job Summary Body Validation Engineer Job Description Who we are looking for: Client is seeking an energetic, organized, and experienced Body Validation Engineer to join our growing team. This position will own all aspects of body testing and validation for Client responsible functional requirements from component level to vehicle level. You'll ensure our body testing meets the highest standards of safety, data integrity, and integration with our body systems engineering — on budget and on time. What you get to do:Lead the validation activities for Client programs as primary interface to Engineering, out-source test labs, suppliers, test vehicle fleet, etc.Facilitate physical validation activities with Client and test facilities: Document disposition and drive issue closure to meet program timingObtain timely test vendor quotes for all testing activities, facilitate testing by creating purchase Orders and Test RequestsSupport Client pursuit/quote team with cost estimatesRepresent Client at testing ReviewsDevelop, manage and publish DVP&R for specific sub-systems to meet program timing.Work effectively in a team environment with a cross-functional team: design engineering, suppliers, CAE, quality, craftsmanship, manufacturing, purchasingDevelop and maintain validation timing plansEstablish effective communications (written and verbal) between interior engineering, internal groups and suppliersGenerate and implement cost savings ideasDocument test results and issues as requiredBe an integral part of an energetic team that's challenging the status quo of vehicle design.What you bring to the team:Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent.4+ years of validation engineering / testing experience in the automotive industry including experience in body related FMVSS test modes.Ability to use lab equipment to support internal body validation testing.Experience in working with suppliers and customersEnergetic personality: Self-starter with a high passion for success.Excellent organization and planning skills.Ability to manage and coordinate multiple complex tasks simultaneously.Ability to travel to visit suppliers, test labs and Client sites; up to 20% domestically / locally.Microsoft Office proficiency: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.High level of integrity and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.Broad vehicle level experience in the areas of BIW, Closures, Hardware, Exterior design or testingLocation: (Troy Michigan) Disclaimer: Kyyba is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
