Outside Sales Representative
About the Role We are a growing team at Northern Lights, Inc., expanding our presence in the marine and industrial generator markets. This is a true hunter-farmer sales role where you will build relationships, develop new business, and help shape our growth throughout the Northeast. You will sell equipment, parts, and service solutions to commercial marine operators and industrial generator customers. This is a high-impact role where your efforts directly contribute to company growth and market expansion. What You'll DoBuild and grow relationships with marine and industrial customersIdentify new business opportunities and develop your own pipelineSell equipment, parts, and service solutions across your territorySupport customers with technical insight and responsive communicationWork closely with internal leadership to grow market presenceMaintain organized customer and sales activity records (CRM/admin work)Represent the company professionally in the field and at customer sitesHelp shape sales strategy as the company expands What Success Looks LikeConsistent growth in new customer relationships and revenueStrong, trusted relationships with key accountsAbility to independently manage territory and pipelineMeeting and exceeding sales targets over time What We Are Looking For2+ years of outside sales experience (industrial, marine, or technical sales preferred)Strong communication and relationship-building skillsComfortable prospecting and closing new businessTechnical/mechanical curiosity is a big plusSelf-starter who works well independently in the fieldAbility to travel 25% RequirementsValid driver's license with clean driving recordAbility to travel regularly within the territoryAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. when neededHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or sales training is a plus Why This Role This is not a traditional account management position.
