Director of Human ResourcesA growing financial services / alternative lending company with approximately 100 employees across multiple U.S. states and international operations is seeking a hands on Director of HR to build and lead the full HR function during a key stage of growth and transformation.This role will own all core people operations, including HR administration, benefits, payroll coordination, recruiting, compliance, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. You will partner closely with leadership, hiring managers, and accounting to create scalable people programs and strong operational infrastructure across a distributed workforce.HR Director ResponsibilitiesOwn the full HR function across a multi-state and international employee baseManage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, payroll coordination, and HR policiesOversee recruiting, workforce planning, and hiring support across departmentsEnsure compliance with federal, California, and multi-state employment laws; international experience is strongly preferredHandle employee relations, manager coaching, performance processes, and corrective action as neededBuild scalable programs around compensation, reviews, engagement, training, and career developmentMaintain and optimize HR systems and processes in a fast-moving environmentHR Director Requirements7+ years of progressive HR experience2+ years in a senior or standalone HR / People leadership roleStrong multi-state HR experienceInternational HR experience required, with Mexico labor law knowledge strongly preferredExperience building or improving HR systems and processes in a scaling companyBackground in fintech, financial services, or another regulated industry preferredBilingual English/Spanish strongly preferredSHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is a plusWe are seeking candidates in the greater Houston area but the position is fully remote.
