Server Assistant

*Position Summary* Origen is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and hospitality-focused Server Assistant to support our front-of-house team and help deliver exceptional dining experiences. This position serves as a critical link between the kitchen and dining room, ensuring food is delivered accurately, efficiently, and with the presentation standards expected in an upscale dining environment. Origen's elevated coastal Mexican cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, and vibrant atmosphere require team members who take pride in delivering excellence. *Key Responsibilities* * Deliver food to guests promptly and accurately while maintaining presentation standards. * Work closely with servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service. * Verify food orders before leaving the kitchen to ensure accuracy. * Describe dishes and answer basic menu questions when delivering food. * Assist with clearing tables and resetting dining areas as needed. * Refill water glasses and support guest service throughout the dining experience. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas. * Assist with stocking service supplies, plates, utensils, and condiments. * Communicate guest requests and special accommodations to servers and management. * Support opening, closing, and side work responsibilities. * Ensure all food is delivered with urgency while maintaining a polished and professional demeanor. Qualifications * Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent attention to detail. * Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. * Ability to stand, walk, bend, and carry trays for extended periods. * Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications * Experience as a food runner, busser, server assistant, or other hospitality role. * Experience in upscale casual or fine dining environments. * Knowledge of food handling and restaurant service standards. * Passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
