The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and commenting on reimbursement issues, with a focus on those before various government agencies, commercial health plans, and third-party entities. This role involves serving as a subject matter expert on Medicare coverage and payment matters, driving consensus among member companies, and managing the association's reimbursement working groups. The Vice President will also be tasked with maintaining strong relationships with member reimbursement experts, engaging with the Board of Directors, and prioritizing strategic relationships with policymakers and other stakeholder partners. Applicants for the Vice President of Reimbursement Policy position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of government relations experience, preferably in public health, healthcare institution, or association management, with at least 2 years' of project team leadership experience. Advanced knowledge of Medicare payment and coverage policies is essential, as is the ability to engage with states and private payers. The role requires excellent interpersonal and member service skills, the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and a strategic approach to analyzing and communicating reimbursement policies.
