Healthcare Data Governance Analyst / Lead

Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement enterprise data governance framework, policies, and standards aligned with healthcare regulations Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems Manage data governance tools, metadata management, data catalog, and lineage tracking Establish and monitor data quality rules, KPIs, and data stewardship processes Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and CMS guidelines Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to support data integration, ETL, and reporting initiatives Drive data stewardship programs and train business users on governance best practices Conduct data audits, risk assessments, and remediation planning Support master data management (MDM) initiatives across patient, provider, and claims data Work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure data privacy and protection Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management Strong experience in healthcare domain (payer/provider systems, EMR/EHR, claims, HL7/FHIR data) Hands-on experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Azure Purview) Knowledge of data quality frameworks, metadata management, and data lineage concepts Experience with SQL and data analysis Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data regulations Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
