Commercial Construction Estimator

The OpportunityWe are partnering with a leading commercial construction firm specializing in high-end hospitality and entertainment interior remodels to hire an experienced Estimator. This is a high-impact, hands-on role focused on complex projects within active, high-traffic environments.You will own the full pre-construction estimating lifecycle, from RFP review through final proposal submission, working on projects including hotel renovations, restaurants, retail spaces, and entertainment venues. This role requires precision, strong technical expertise, and the ability to manage competitive bid processes in fast-paced environments.What You’ll DoPrepare detailed hard-bid estimates from full construction drawing setsPerform quantity takeoffs across architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty scopesDevelop complete, itemized bid packages with full scope coverageManage the RFP process, including subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and procurementBuild and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationshipsCreate detailed scope of work documents organized by CSI divisionLead bid leveling and ensure accurate, apples-to-apples subcontractor comparisonsApply appropriate markups for overhead, profit, contingency, and riskAssemble and submit comprehensive proposal packages aligned with client requirementsDevelop concept-level estimates from renderings, schematic designs, and limited documentationProvide cost-per-square-foot estimates and scenario modeling based on finish levelsWhat We’re Looking ForExperienceCommercial construction estimating experience, ideally within hospitality, entertainment, or high-end interior remodelsProven experience with hard-bid projects (typically $1M–$50M+)Experience managing full bid lifecycle from ITB through final submissionBackground estimating projects in active or occupied environments is highly preferredAbility to develop conceptual estimates from limited design informationTechnical SkillsProficiency in takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar)Experience with estimating and bid management software (e.g., BuildingConnected, Procore, or similar)Advanced Excel skills for bid leveling and estimate organizationStrong understanding of CSI divisions and construction documentationAbility to read and interpret full construction drawing sets across disciplinesSoft SkillsExceptional attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication skills, both written and verbalHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesCollaborative and able to work cross-functionally with project teamsComfortable working in fast-paced, high-stakes project environmentsWhy This RoleHigh-visibility role with direct impact on project successExposure to complex, high-end commercial construction projectsOpportunity to work in a fast-paced, detail-driven environmentStrong growth potential within a reputable and expanding organization
