Job Title: 2 Shift Staff Calibration Technician Location: Austin, TX (100% onsite) Duration: 12-Month contract Pay Range: $22.00 - $36.00/hour without benefits Note: When the candidate starts it will be 1st shift (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM) until trained. This will be a second shift role: (3:30 PM - 11:30 PM) post training Job Description:The Manufacturing Hardware Services team at client Test & Measurement has an opening for a Field Service Calibration Technician.The Field Service Calibration Technician will be the primary technician responsible for performing service at customer sites.This technician is responsible for performing accurate and timely calibrations within the guidelines and policies of client Test & Measurement.This position offers the opportunity to work with our stakeholders to deliver world-class services while continuing growth as a calibration professional. Responsibilities:Perform calibrations on customer equipment (in the laboratory as well as at their site)Adhere to our Quality Management System and ISO/IEC 17025:2017Support the maintenance of our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditationParticipating during internal and external auditsSupport the development and implementation of processes used in the Calibration Services LaboratoryProvide interpretations of calibration resultsAssist in review and technical analysis on laboratory non-conformanceSupport the performance of routine maintenance, inter-laboratory comparison and intermediate check of Laboratory equipmentAdhere to all NI Corporate policies Must Have:In laboratory calibration experience OR some equivalent testing experienceAssociate degree in a technical discipline plus 3 years of experience in electrical measurement OR formal calibration training plus 4 years of experience in electrical device measurement calibration32-36 weeks of travel expected in year 1 with the potential to increaseStrong knowledge in electrical instrumentation, first-hand experience with signal analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and modular instrumentsExamples include but are not limited to: Keysight 3458A Digital Multimeter, Fluke 57XXA Multifunction Calibrators, Rohde & Schwarz FSUP26 / FSWP26, Rohde & Schwarz SMA100A / SMA100B, Fluke 9500B Oscilloscope Calibrator, etc.Knowledge and experience in use of automated calibration environments such as NI's Calibration Executive, MET/CAL, etc.Experience participating in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation audits.This role will require travel for the technician to go to customer onsite calibration events.Expected travel in year 1 is 32-36 weeks, with the potential to grow. Travel will be 100% covered by client.The expectation is that the technician working in this role has existing experience as a calibration technician with electrical equipment.The candidate we are looking for ideally has some experience working with electrical equipment like DMMs (3458As), Calibrators (Fluke 57XXs), RF Electrical Standards like R&S FSUP/FSWP, SMA100B Signal Generators. Additional Information:When the candidate starts, they will be expected to work 1st shift (7:30 AM -3:30 PM) until trained.This training is expected to take approximately 3 months.TBD on shift deployment once the technician is trained.Please make sure to let the candidate know of the shift timing.They are expected to come in and work first shift upon on-boarding and will go through a training process that could take up to 3 months.
