Senior Site Reliability EngineerContract length: 1 yearLocation: St. Louis, MOIn-office expectations: 1 day per week (9 AM - 5 PM EST)About the Role:The Workspace Platform Technology group at the client is seeking a talented Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. As an SRE, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of our critical shared services.Responsibilities:Maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for owned systems.Measure and improve availability, latency, and overall system health.Write automation to scale systems sustainably and prevent service issues.Collaborate with development teams to enhance system reliability, observability, and release velocity.Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, postmortems, and root cause analysis.Advocate for strong engineering practices to build, deploy, and run scalable, reliable, and performant services.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with object-oriented programming languages (Java, C#, Python, or Go).Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.Experience with one of the following cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP.Background in financial services.Preferred Qualifications:Datadog or Cloudwatch experience.Experience with algorithms and data structures.Experience in observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting).Experience with Infrastructure as Code.Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, identity and access management, and application security.About the Team:The Workspace Platform Technology group is a diverse and inclusive organization that values continuous improvement and innovation.
