Details 9-bed Level III NICU with an average daily census of 3 patients Patient population includes preterm newborns with diagnoses such as respiratory distress, sepsis, hyperbilirubinemia, NAS, and feeder/growers Day/night rotation based on unit needs; shifts run 7a–7:30p or 7p–7:30a (3x12s) 36- or 48-hour workweeks accepted Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Potential float to the normal newborn nursery Specialized procedures include IV starts, lab/blood gas draws, and CPAP management SCN nurses attend all C-sections and high-risk deliveries alongside the hospitalist, and respond to all Code Pinks (neonatal resuscitation) Equipment used includes Neopuff/T-piece resuscitator, Bubble CPAP, and Nihon Kohden cardiac-respiratory monitors Epic EMR experience required; Pyxis used for medication management Requirements Active NH or compact RN license required BLS certification required; only AHA or Red Cross certifications accepted Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required; Level III NICU skills strongly preferred Experience with neonatal resuscitation and L&D NICU response required Proficiency in Bubble CPAP management required Neonatal code responder skills required Epic EMR experience required Professional references required for consideration Additional Information Ventilator experience is preferred Orientation is 24 hours No scrub color restrictions — any color is acceptable First-time travelers may be considered with the right experience Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local pay rate Former employees of any facility within the SolutionHealth system are not eligible for this position, regardless of length of separation American Traveler Job ID P-687442.
