Logistics Analyst

Lead global supply chain analyses related to Logistics spend, lead time and global service levels. Lead global RFQ’s related to domestic carrier operations, international freight and international brokerage and forwarding services. A leadership position that will offer Managerial Excellence training and present cross-functional opportunities to collaborate with key internal and external VB stakeholders.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Lead global RFQ’s including Int’l ocean, Int’l airfreight, Int’l small parcel, domestic small parcel and domestic TL & LTLRelationship manager between VB and 3rd party freight auditing firmsGeneral understanding and management of small parcel auditing and dynamics of small parcel pricing strategiesMaintain carrier relationships with 3rd party freight vendors, including FedEx, UPS, USPS and other parcel agreementsPrepare and analyze statistical data (historic and future trends) for contract negotiations and costing analysisWork with cross-functional supply chain business partners on strategic and ad-hoc projectsRelationship and business management of Hong Kong logistics team and affiliatesLogistics liaison between operations and ERP / WMS / BI teamProvide monthly and ad-hoc KPI reporting to Operations leadershipEvaluate existing technology solutions related to global logisticsParticipate and lead continuous improvement projectsResponsible for service levels and corporate deliver lead time reportingEducation And/Or ExperienceBachelor’s degree from a 4 year university, college or equivalent in supply chain or business4+ years’ of additional experience specific to retail, transportation and/or distribution fieldsExperience negotiating with national and regional small parcel vendorsExperience of international ocean and airfreight industry, alliances, pricing, services, etc. strongly preferredKnowledge of U.S. customs laws and regulations including classification, valuation, origin, record keeping, and compliance monitoringInternational transportation experience requiredKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
