Cloud Compliance Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Compliance Engineer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. This role requires deep expertise in cloud compliance automation to drive continuous monitoring and seamless remediation.Rate Range: $44/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Cloud Compliance Engineer job responsibilities include:* Implement and maintain SOX-aligned compliance controls across AWS and Azure cloud environments.* Build automated monitoring, auditing, and remediation workflows to ensure continuous compliance and policy enforcement.* Conduct regular cloud security and compliance assessments, identifying gaps and driving timely remediation.* Develop and maintain compliance documentation, evidence, and reporting for audits and regulatory reviews.* Collaborate with cloud engineering, security, and audit teams to ensure adherence to compliance requirements and best practices.* Integrate compliance automation tools and cloud-native capabilities to streamline control validation and reduce manual processes.Required Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related technical field.* 3-5 years of experience in cloud security, cloud compliance, or cloud engineering with a focus on AWS or Azure.* Strong hands‐on experience implementing and automating SOX controls across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), including monitoring, auditing, and remediation workflows.* Proficiency with cloud‐native security and compliance tools (e.g., AWS Config, Azure Policy, CloudTrail, Security Center) and experience building automated compliance pipelines.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
