A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work in medical surgical telemetry unit with 24-bed capacity • Care for all types of med surg patients including overflow of post-op surgical hips/knees • Patient ratio of 4-5:1 • Handle heparin drips with remote telemetry monitoring • Float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran • Work every 3rd weekend • No blocked shifts allowed • 16-hour NBO (no back out) policy • No on-call responsibilities • Required to wear navy blue solid scrubs • Must have 24 months minimum experience in Med Surg/Med Surg Tele • EPIC EMR experience required • BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required • Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required • First-time travelers accepted • Department prefers candidates who can extend past initial 13-week contract Facility: This healthcare organization operates multiple medical centers providing comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community.
