Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Concord, NC Agency: TalentBurst, Inc. Pay: $1,966 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: 6/1/2026 About the Position JOB DESCRIPTION About Facility: o 920 Church St N, Concord, NC 28025 o 457 licensed beds o Trauma Level III o Teaching Hospital o Chest Pain Center o Stroke Center of Excellence o Bariatric Center of Excellence o Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit Unit Information: o Beds: 14 private rooms - no negative pressure capability o Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience o Will you accept a first-time traveler? No Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Cancer (new and existing diagnosis), Neutropenic Fever, patients requiring fluid resuscitation/ blood products o Medical overflow o Pts receiving Chemo/ Biotherapy – ONS preferred but not required Patient Ratios: o RN: 1:4-5 Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: o BLS, ACLS, NIHSS o ONS preferred Skills required: o PIV starts, NG Tube placement/management, Pleurx drains, management of various surgical drains, chest tube management o Prefer but do not require comfortability with port accessing – only experienced Oncology RNs will be allowed to do this Support within the Department: o CNA s - assist nursing team to provide ADL s, bathing, foley care, mobility, turning and repositioning, trained to do phlebotomy, 12 lead EKGs, Glucometer o Receptionist/HUC? None o Charge nurse - usually with patient assignment o Phlebotomy? Combined effort between RNs, CNA s, IV team o IV/VAT Team? yes o Resource Nurse - when staffing allows o RT, 24/7 – not dedicated to this unit specifically o Hospitalist, 24/7 - not dedicated to this unit specifically o Telemetry monitoring - If tele ordered, our patients are remotely monitored in off unit arrhythmia center Technology/Equipment: o EMR: Epic o IV Pump: Alaris o Med dispensing: Omnicell o Monitors: Phillips o Unit specific equipment: Bladder scanner, EKG machine, transport monitor o Patient Safety Net Floating: o Within region and scope of practice o Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH (peds only) could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) Orientation (facility and unit): o NEO o 2 days departmental Scheduling: o Weekend rotation: every other o No call o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays o RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours o Shift times: 0645-1915 and 1845- 0715 o Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks Other notes: o Scrub Color: Navy o Parking: Free o Unit Culture: Professional, Team oriented CUSTOM FIELDS Shift 12hr Night Shift - 36 Shift Information 1900 - 0700 On Call, Call Back Requirements No call Weekend Rotation Every other Holiday Requirements Travelers will work 75% of holidays Floating Requirements Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH (peds only) could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises PCUnurse1 Why TalentBurst?
