STATUS: Full timeLOCATION: Gouverneur Hospital - 77 West Barney Street, Gouverneur, NY 13642DEPARTMENT: ImagingSCHEDULE: Mon-Fri; Variable - 7 am - 3:30 pm or 9 am - 5:30 pmSummaryPerforms diagnostic radiological procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards as established by the radiologist, governing bodies, and professional bodies. Assists the radiologist in fluoroscopy and special procedure examinations. Performs administrative duties as set forth by policies and procedures.Responsibilities1. ( 35%) Performs radiology, CTs, and/or mammography/bone density procedures utilizing the principles and knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and Radiologic techniques.2. (25%) Assists radiologist in the performance of Radiology interventional procedures and provides appropriate images for interpretation.3. (15%) Follows all regulatory and organizational guidelines for patient/staff screening and Radiology safety and provides Radiologic safety education to anyone who may have contact with the Radiologic equipment.4. (15%) Follows organizational standards, including but not limited to patient identification, patient education, consents, order verification, and infection control.5. (10%) Participates in all QA/QC procedures as designated and maintains standards of these programs. This includes processes involving Radiologic equipment, image quality, documentation, and Radiologic safety.Requited QualificationsGraduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology programBLS within 3 months of hire.New York State Department of Health LicensureRegistered with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)Union1199 - SEIU (GH)Note: Not all per diem roles are union eligibleEducationLICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Physical RequirementsM - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Pay Range$34.02 - $49.47The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
