Shipping & Receiving Lead
Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Shipping & Receiving Lead opportunity at NDX Stern Empire Dental Laboratory in Houston, TX. The regular hours for this position are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including: health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; paid holiday, vacation, and sick time; 401K with company contribution; and tuition reimbursement!Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:Able to perform all functions/responsibilities of Shipping and Receiving Clerk and has the ability and responsibility to schedule cases and/or invoice cases.Receives case, opens case and disinfects case for Packs and ships case for delivery through local source or national carrier.Act as lead person in all areas of shipping and receivingManage outgoing shipments via selected carrierLead delivery driver team and manage routes for optimal costsPerforms the scheduling function for each caseThrough LMS enter demographics and customer informationPrint preference notes matching toMove case into productionInvoices cases and assists with billing questions or issuesScanning of paperwork for each case for electronic storageAssist with team member training within receiving & shipping departmentAll other duties as neededSkills, Abilities and Documents Required:Must be able to read, write, speak and understand EnglishData entry and computer skillsDriver's license requiredAbility to coordinate multiple tasksAttention to detailMinimum Education and Experience Required:Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalentRequired: 3 years' experience in shipping and receivingRequired: Experience in leading/supervising a teamRequired: Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record in accordance with NDX standardsHazardous Materials or Equipment Used:Disinfectant process chemicalsPersonal protective equipment asOffice equipmentPhysical Requirements:Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reachExhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motionsAbility to walk and stand for long periods of timeRepeated bending and kneelingVision capabilities: Depth perception, attention to detail and/or colorPush, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 25 poundsEqual Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
